SAL Update – Bee #9
February 20, 2022 at 8:34 am | Posted in Embroidery | 9 CommentsTags: cross-stitch, SAL
Today it’s the bee’s turn, and I made lots of progress, thanks to winter sports on TV! Here’s last time:

I’ve added lots more honeycomb this time, and the bee has acquired a second feeler and leg. The diagonal line is the top of a wing, and the bits of black on the far right are the beginnings of a couple of blue flowers. I’m planning to finish the background in this area before doing the blue flowers, and then continue on to the wing, proabably working a bit of the bee’s body before it so the wing can be anchored where it belongs.

Here are the other members of the SAL who are posting today. Make sure to check out their work, it’s amazing: Avis, Claire, Gun, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Megan, Deborah, Sharon, Daisy, AJ, Cathie, Linda, Helen and Connie.

great progress, and your stitches are so tiny! what count are you working on?

That’s indeed tiny – 28 stitches per inch. I’ll stick to 25-count in the future.

Nice bright colours – definitely required with our dreary winter days, I only like the figure skating.
