SAL Update – Prism Owls #17

It seems like I continue to work on this in bursts. I think one of the reasons is that when set up, my cross stitch needs the part of my craft table that other projects need as well, so I’m not inclined to swap while in the middle of a project. The last weeks I was occupied with a still secret quilting project, which I finished up yesterday. So in order to not have a no-show again, I did add a few stitches before taking a new picture. So, let’s do a game of “Spot the difference”!

Last time vs. this time:

Tried out the image comparison function in WordPress – just move the division in the middle around!

So, let’s see what happens for next time – that probably depends on how long it takes me to get stuck into the next creative project that needs space.

Here are the other members of the SAL who are posting today. Make sure to check out their work, it’s amazing:Β Avis, Claire, Gun, Carole, Sue, Christina, Kathy, Margaret, Cindy, Heidi, Jackie, Sunny, Hayley, Megan, Deborah, Mary Margaret, Renee, Carmela, Sharon, Daisy, Anne, Connie, AJ, Jenny, Laura, Cathie, Linda and Helen.

  1. little and often ^^

  2. I see some progress, every bit counts and it’s looking fab xx

  3. I can see some blue/green shades appearing there.
I’m terrible for not getting the cross stitch out because I’ll have to fetch the box of bits, the frame, the lamp and the cross stitch itself. All in different places. The thing is, it only takes a few minutes. I think I’m just lazy LOL

  4. I see those new feathers coming in!

  5. There’s no hurry. It’s nice to do other things alongside the SAL ticking along in the background πŸ™‚

  6. Even a few stitches is better than zero. I am sure that now that the quilt project is done you will get some more stitches in. That is a neat feature for comparison.

  7. Some stretches I get a lot done, others I make a desperate push to have some stitches to show. Every stitch counts, right? He’s looking lovely.

  8. I see some color in his feathers 😊

  9. That’s pretty cool! I didn’t know WordPress did that!

  10. As long as you enjoy what you are doing when you are doing it, does it matter how much progress is made. We do these things for pleasure so it does not have to be a race!

  11. That was way cool, I haven’t discovered this function yet. I’ll have to look for it. You made great progress and your owl is coming along beautifully πŸ™‚

    • The block is called “image compare”, and I thought I would just get the two pictures side-by-side and was pleasantly surprised by what actually happened instead!

  12. Got it! Some teal colored stitches!

  13. He really pops on that black background!

  14. Every little bit counts!! LOVE the image compare – I’ll have to try that when I have something to show.

  15. Yes! Happy new year of creativity and cross stitch!
    Hugs, Carmela
